My latest project, "United we stand, divided we call," a video series that will continue in January after semester break. There is some mild infrequent swearing, but I did my best to find the cleanest version possible. As is my motto "I will never apologize for all the Greg Gibson."

 

 

I do apologize for the text, the ending, and the fact that I seem to always end up downloading videos of the same umpires over and over again.

Gee, I should rename this thread to "Feel free to apologize here." Since you had an issue with this song choice, what would you suggest?

I don't know. I'm not a film maker or an editor. My son snowboards, and he makes videos and uses rap soundtracks as well. I asked him why he's using that music, he's not even into it..He says it's the easiest to edit and synch up with the video. He's taken the time and effort and  done some others with more mainstream classic rock, and the difference is remarkable.

There was not a lick of Tom Hallion in that video. But yes, a lot of Iassogna and Hernandez. Not much Gorman, unless you count the clips of his whole crew that I placed in there, simply because I like that crew...

The skate videos I've made, I wouldn't dream of using rap. Techno/dubstep works so much better...and I wouldn't use rock or pop (or any mainstream music) in most circumstances simply because I can't stand most of it.

I wasn't looking for a music debate. 100% agree musical taste is an opinion and not open to debate. She wanted an opinion on her film. I gave my opinion...Loved the video, hated the audio. I'm not wrong or right. It's my opinion.

I'm sorry. I disagree with you. All music is art to somebody. Just how a random drawing I might have made in sixth grade is art to me, but not to my friend. All music is a different form of expressing a thought, feeling, or idea, and that, my friend, is art.
