So I've been using this CP for a few years, but despite having it tight and having the straps as high as they go, I find that I've got this small gap near my collar bone.  Yesterday, sure enough, though hard to do, took a foul ball that found the opening.  I've tried everything to close that area, but to no avail.  Has anyone else found that problem.

post a pic of yourself wearing this and show us what you're talking about.  Sounds to me that it may not be broken in and it's not fitting your shoulders properly?

To keep mine from sagging down, I had to tighten the top two shoulder straps as tight as they'd go. They can't get any tighter because all of the slack/adjustment is gone. Is that what you meant by having your straps "as high as they go"?

This adjustment gives my head just barely enough clearance to fit through the opening when puting on the CP. But once it's on...it's perfect. It completely covers the collar bones and it doesn't move at all.

Delta-flex...the way to go. Has worked for me on a WVG, Douglas, Unequal...You won't regret it.

Someone posted a comment that it didn't work as advertised on the Platinum.

Unless you break to end plastic tips off...??? I don't see the All Star Flex Harness working with the WVP!

No...I've used the WVP for years...mine is in its 11th season...it DOES NOT SAG!!!

Get the upper straps as TIGHT AS YOU CAN...

If you can find a cobbler [those OLD guys that still do shoe repair] or an upholsterer...GREAT!!!

[stand by...we'll get to this part later]

Industrial strength VELCRO on each strap...but before putting the strips on...add a little SUPER GLUE to them...

then place them where you need them to be on the harness...

Don't run the straps or attach them [fold them through yet]...let them sit and dry for about an hour...

IRON those velcro strips on a setting warm enough...but not hot enough to melt the velcro...or the vinyl straps...

Let 'em cool down...then run the straps through as normal...and connect the velcro sides..

THAT SHOULD do it...

The cobbler/upholsterer comes in IF...

If you don't want to use the iron...

Take the harness to them and have them SEW the glued on velcro strips right to the harness...

Now the damn thing isn't moving worth a damn!!

My local guy charged me $10.00...took him about 5 minutes to do it...

I just changed out my WVP with the Delta flex harness. Had to cannibalize the strap off the old harness and my wife sew them on for more length. They were too short. Now vest stays up tight all game. Perfect.

Got my delta flex today. Put it onto the platinum, fits great. I'm about 6' 200lb and I didn't have to do any special modifications. It's easier to get on when the lower straps aren't in the holders and once it's on...boy am I happy.

I'm pretty new to these boards and I can't imagine a better resource to umpires out there. I just bought a bunch of new equipment and I can't thank you all enough for all the reviews of the best gear out on the market.

How would you put the delta flex on the unequal?

Why would you want to? You never get hit wearing the ball repellent!!

I have been hit, I think, but never felt it. So, if you get hit and don't feel it, did you really get hit??
