I'm not sure that is why I was asking. The Honig's pants and the ump attire pants are very different due to the waistbands. The ump attire ones to me are much more comfortable.

I have gotten used to wearing flexible waistband slacks through the years and it was nice to have a quality umpire version of the same.

Ump-Attire has not said much about why they are changing

The only way I knew about a change was because I found the webpage that was intended for the minor league umpires on the UA site.

We would all have to know pretty soon though because the minor league guys will be needing their uniforms within a month

I like the new Smitty shirts but I haven't tried the Ultimates. I have heard some not real good reviews of them. Heard they pick easily...can someone confirm?

The new ones that UA came out with in 2012 did not pick as bad as the ones that were out in 2010 and 2011. I think they only made the new 2012 in black, navy, and softball blue.

I have a black one and I like it much better than the LS one I have that was the previous years fabric. Not sure what the 2013s will be...or it might be 2014 before we see them. I am sure Jim is working hard to get things ironed out with the long run in mind.

Ripping one of my association members...no.  Poking fun...yes.

#1 Priority - Get your calls right.

#2 Priority - Work hard.

#3 Priority - Do things the right way on and off the field.

#4 Priority - Look the part - maintain a professional appearance.

#5 Priority - Have fun.

Debating whether to wear certain pieces of attire like we're some sort of authority is stupid.

(#1)+(#2)=(#5)

Ive never had an issue with the UA shirts. I love them and use them exclusively while working the dish.

I was always a Honigs loyalist as far as shirts go but a few years ago Honigs was sold out of my size in a shirt I needed rather quickly after a pen exploded up the side of one of my plate shirts. I reluctantly purchased a Smitty to replace the shirt and haven't looked back since. I have bought other brands than Smitty since then but other than Majestic, Smitty has been my go to brand. I do prefer the feel of UA shirts better but the fit on the Smitty looks better to me. I would rather look better on the field than be comfortable (at my age looking as professional as possible is always the #1 priority). I have heard that next years UA shirts are supposed to fit more like the Smitty's with a thin body and longer sleeves than previous UA shirts. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Please God tell me a member of MY association didn't just use the word "Clicker" in his post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :banghead:

No, I saw it. And I think the clicker he is talking about is actually a television remote.

I hear they make great shirts in Pakistan!

Jim's stuff is made right there to best of many knowledge. The original owner makes the stuff. Obviously some stuff is outsourced, like the pants, but I think the shirts are in house.
