I wouldn't switch from my notched indicator. I hardly have to look at my indicator to know the count anymore. If the digital one had a little receiver/display in my mask that showed the count, then you may have something.

you mean your bucket doesn't have the HUD with counnt, timer, score, and inning? Wow! You gotta get with the times.

How about it controls the scoreboard via wireless? Then after a play you wouldn't come back and see the idiot scorekeeper has the wrong count on the scoreboard.

But during those times that I'm not sure if I have the count right or not, everyone would know! I know we have all been in the situation where we are unsure of the count and don't announce it in the hopes that the batter will hit the next pitch, thereby taking care of the problem. :)

We actually do this sometimes. It's not an indicator per se; it's just the remote control for the scoreboard.

And it's controlled by the umpire? Please expand on that.

I need to buy the upgrade that has the superimposed strike zone.

Yes.

This might be the model:

What about a bucket that read your count to you? All you have in your hand is a jeopardy type clicker. Click once for ball twice for strike. Every time you change the count, it read the ball, strike, outs to you through a built in ear piece. That'd eliminate all these umpires that stare at their indicator like it was gonna run away if they look away.
