I really am going to hate all the ESPN bitching and moaning that will be coming because of this play... The play was the difference between the Tigers winning 1-0 and the Tigers winning 3-0. Nothing more, nothing less.

But because it happened to the Yankees, "WE NEED REPLAYS NOW!! WAHHHHH!!!"

Maybe if Granderson, Cano, Swisher, or Arod could get a hit they wouldn't be loosing either. STFU and stop worrying about the umps.

i think giradi is certanly entitled to voice his opinion...he was asked about it

Girardi's frustrated. How can he not be given everything that's gone on these past few days? Leyland's press conference remarks were the voice of reason. Bottom line..Get the 3rd out and take care of business yourself. Make the call a non issue. Umpires didn't let the next three pitchers give up 3 more baserunners.

However, I do wonder about U2's position.

1.Why did he have to run so far to get there? Where was he? (I'm not familiar with pro 4 man mechanics so I'm asking this sincerely)

2. Making this call on the run caused him to miss the tag on this play, IMO.

Call was wrong, yes. But you cannot win without scoring. Sorry Yankees, try again.

Seems like the announcers and media doing the whining. Haven't seen a Yankee fan saying the call cost them a game here. Well, at least rational ones like Bobby and I :angel4:

Ouch...that was a bad miss. How was he so late getting there? I wasn't watching the game. Maybe too close?

That's my question..where was he?

That was more for Girardi who couldn't help himself and the team itself.
