When you have a first baseman and a manager that pissed off ... maybe you missed something .... what is the hurt in asking for help if he's up the line following the play?

Except that PU wasn't up the line following the play. I think that's probably the main reason why he didn't go for help - he didn't have anybody to go to. I think another reason (in general) why umpires either do or do not go for help has to do with the attitude of the approach by the manager.
