Hello, Fellow Umpires!

My name is Larry and I've been umpiring for about 15 years, starting out first as a coach in Little League but moving over to the dark side when I saw how bad the umpiring was. My dad told me to never complain unless I was willing to be part of the solution so I went to the Little League Western Regional school, followed by a week long clinic in Atlanta taught by Jim Evans and have had a deep passion for umpiring ever since. I've been umpiring at the HS Varsity and CC level now for the last 6 years but still devote a lot of my time to Little League and the summer youth leagues. They deserve to have quality umpires there, too. I'm still learning new things and this is why I joined this forum. I want to learn from you and maybe even share some of my experience with some of you. Happy to be here!
