threw two of them in with a light load of undershirts, etc ...they turned out great!

However, my base hat has some verticle 'wrinkles/folds' that I'd like to correct if possible....

Ideas?

Thanks

Ok. Now I can concentrate. Yes. Steam from a tea kettle spout so you can concentrate where it goes. It will loosen up the wool and you can gently massage the hot, moist....... BRB

I always wash my caps in the top shelf of the dishwasher and air dry them. I use the little prongs on the shelf to keep it shaped. I know they make a hat shaper to do this, but I never wash in clothes washer. Make sure heat dry is turned off on dishwasher.

I would think you could dampen it and sit it in a hot car or truck on hot day!!

Good luck!!

Unless you have CONFIRMED evidence Trout recently washed his hands, DO NOT let him touch your hat to get the wrinkles out!

However, it will retain its shape (no matter what it is.)

I have heard that...but no first hand knowledge.
