Jim Rome lives in the same set of hills as us, and I have to tell you, the last time I saw him, he was stopping at the same house as us to buy Girl Scout cookies from a neighborhood girl. He is a disarmingly nice and thoughtful guy, has a truly sweet, elegant wife, and he treats kids like gold---mine included.

I hate to break it to you that he's not a badass.

I've met Romey on a couple of occasions here in San Diego. Good guy. Hacksaw, not so much (almost got in fist fight with that guy, years ago)

I know one of the dozen mask hook guys. He has one other belt accessory, for when he's on the bases. It's a brush holster. I kid you not. He uses it to clean pitching plates and bases. And yeah, he wears a beanie.

Well, my belt came in ...... wow, great looking, perfect for what I need, nice 1 3/4" Garrison, etc, etc ....but ...........

All of my belts are 38s ....I wear a 36 pant .....this belt doesn't even come close to buckling. So, I check it with my other belts, and it's 3 - 3.5" shorter than my other 38 belts!? WTF ....

I hope they'll exchange it for me, but at these prices ...maybe not...we'll see today when I call them .....I'll report back.....

I got 2 belts from PostalUniform.com for $8.75 each, free shipping. They have worked fine but after only on week the hole in the belt is distorting/ripping to the point that it catches the belt loops when I put it on/take it off. I guess I have been tightening my belt a bit more than the belt can handle and the leather is not terribly strong.

I will try backing off a notch and if that fails the 2nd belt will go into service. But for $8.75 a belt this is a great value.

Well, Atlantic Tactical is going to send me a new belt, ...I had to pay to ship it back, but it's still a great deal. I picked up another locally, so now I'll have 2, but I'll get 2 leather belts for under $35, ...not bad:clap:

I've worn mine for about 50 games so far this year. It's broken in very well and looks pretty good. I'm happy :WTF

I'm thinking of marketing umpire suspenders. I think I should offer patent leather, high gloss, and regular. Of course, they will be 1 3/4" wide.

Right now, the only tweak I'm working on is where to hang the ball bags and mask hook!

Patent leather and somehow you could fasten baseballs to the suspenders like a bandoleer. That would be sahweet.
