Just got a new Diamond 30in bag today. Anybody got any tips on the best way to pack it? I am especially interested the equipment; how to best arrange the CP (Gold) two pairs of shins, mask.

Not sure if I will try to roll the clothes in the gear bag, or use a garment bag for clothing and use the upper level for hats, undergarments etc. Got both base and plate shoes in the shoe area.

Nice bag...

Thats the bag I use. In the bottom I have my shins paired in the bottom w/ my mask, cup and belt to one side. Then I have my cp with the shoulders down beside the shins then the bottom half over the shins. In the top I made it only 2 compartment instead of 3 so I can easily fit both my base and plate shoes in the shoe compartment.

I bag most of my gear, to keep them from grinding against each other. I got a bunch of +POS bags for my chest protectors and masks. My helmet goes in a motorcycle helmet bag. Shoes in Honigs shoe bags, or golf shoe bags. They just stay nicer that way.

Clothes go in a garment bag, then in a drawstring plastic bag when dirty.

You put your hard gear in the bottom of the Diamond bag? Is the bag designed that way?

With the Evans bag, I have my hard gear in the top compartment, because it's deeper than the bottom section.

Yes, the Diamond bag is set up for equipment to go in the bottom. The dividers will only work in the upper compartment.

I have the Wilson gear bag with the dividers on top, but I keep my equipment on top and clothes in the bottom section. The bottom part has straps to help hold your clothing in place. Do you guys like the Diamond gear bag?

what kind of CP? and, forgive my dullness, but what do you mean shoulders down?

I gave the WV Gold and I'll put top (shoulders) down so the top of the shoulders touching the bottom of the bag and the bottom of the CP over the shins. If I didn't have them packed away in the garage I'd take a pic.

agreed, I dont mix uniforms and gear. My gear bag is for masks (2) CP's (2) shin Guards and base and plate shoes.

I also have +Pos bags for mask and shoes. I dont want them grinding against each other as well.....
