  1. Fed OBS all the way Great Call!!, NCAA legal play, OBR , might have violated new 7.13 ?????
  2. And what issues would that be? What is a catch. OK so I guess we draw this out one post at a time. Please explain why this is an issue. The definition of a catch has not changed in the OBR rulebook. Wrong!!!! just wait till the Triumph book published on May 15th it Will be in There!!! Who do you think writes the OBR rulebook????? Pro Baseball If you want you can order it here http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1600789455/ref=s9_psimh_gw_p14_d5_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1FSDWXVQJK8ZQ14YX2SP&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1688200382&pf_rd_i=507846
  3. Like 2 minutes ago in the Royals vs White Sox game . Chicago challenges a call on back end on a DP at 1st. Call stands Ventura is bitching from dugout , Greg Gibson yells back shut up and call NY !!!!
  4. we give .... you can tell us The Cream shirts were the 1st warm weather alternate shirt to Black. But players complained the ball blended into the umpire shirts. If you go back to any footage from 2001 you will see the plate umpire wearing Black and the base umpires wearing Cream. The Cream was replaced next season by Grey http://deadspin.com/5918957/better-know-an-umpire-mike-everitt
  5. This is in reference to teams stalling to see the replay in the clubhouse 1st than deciding to challenge. Former manager Tony La Russa, now an MLB special adviser, said managers will have to "rely on their integrity" and not cause delays. Yeah see how well that works out!!
  6. the other thing still not addresed is the stalling that will take place at the MLB level. Realistically no manger if allowed to stall will ever lose a challange. , Banger at 1st ,umpire rules out. Batter takes his sweet time going to the batter box, mean while someone in the club house has the game on the tv, then calls the dugout or yells down the walk way from the club house to challenge, or the manager could go out and argue till he gets the signal from the dugout too challenge.
  7. Last night 12u fall ball games , have the plate . Play at the plate close but not "too close " I have it all the way , catcher makes a good tag holds on too the ball bang the runner out . 3rd base coach comes down the line asking for me to get help from my partner in "C position" I of course say no, he then goes on a rant that" why not ?" You better than the World Series Umpires!!!
  8. I would call that balk. My issue would be what if the other team doesn't need that "courtesy" because they are better coached or if the call came at a much different situation, (R1 vs R3, maybe winning run) I don't want that. I call the balk the coach will fix it and we'll move on. Only if it's a Rec game would I consider it. As grayhawk, ha said , It Is NOT A Balk!!!!!!!! its a "don't do that"(when playing by OBR)
  9. Yes, Nick was the rules man at Brinkmans until his death, then J&R took over . Btw they got the Pine tar call right by the rules the way they were written at the time. Lee MacPhail basically wrote his own rule and interpretation. . At the time, MLB Rule 1.10© stated: "The bat handle, for not more than 18 inches from the end, may be covered or treated with any material or substance to improve the grip. Any such material or substance, which extends past the 18-inch limitation, shall cause the bat to be removed from the game." At the time, such a hit was defined in the rules as an illegally batted ball, and the penalty for hitting "an illegally batted ball" was that the batter was to be declared out, under the explicit terms of the then-existing provisions of Rule 6.06
  10. He has a tick that makes Brian O Noras invisible, slam his open hand on closed fist, touch mask then his side.
  11. he is wearing Muzino Plate Shoes., is he from Japan? He takes his mask off with the right hand. , than transfers it to his left
  12. I don't remember when it was changed but , in Fed many years ago removing your Helmet during live ball action was an out!!!
  13. they pay a fine, but its very insignificant compared to the money they make
  14. he really did not drop the ball it was more like he threw the ball into the ground? Think Pete Rose spiking the ball after the 3rd out when he played 1st base.
  15. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/highschool-prep-rally/t-ball-argument-leads-huge-fight-between-coaches-155751869.html
  16. FED Rules 18u tourney, Only R2 on base , while engaged pitcher steps and throws too 2nd base , the ball slips from his hand and basically winds up spiking the ball straight down on the back of the mound the ball hits the area where the dirt meets grass on the pitchers mound and rolls right to F5!!! R2 was diving back in to 2nd . Balk for throwing to an unoccupied base?? I called nothing .

    NC vs LSU

Two rare calls in the last inning, A batter was hit while swinging at Strike 3 , plate umpire ruled correctly dead ball batter out all runners return to there bases at TOP, more impressively no one questioned the call. Umpire interference . R1 only , 2nd base umpire hit by a batted ball while on the inside kills it awards BR 1st , R1 2nd base. correct call and again no argument I guess NCAA coaches must know the rules.
  22. "Do you want to go home already so you can fu**ing jerk off!"offensive enough for you?
  23. A player from the bench yells , a very vulgar or offensive comment at you , but you don't know who? ( was not looking at the bench it was after a called strike on there batter)
  24. This points out the difference between , Amateur and Pro ejections, if a guy does this in amateur game I am calling , we might very well have ballgame over see rule 4.15, but in pro or maybe NCAA you just wait or call security to take them off the field .
