No, but I have read Playboy to correct the following problems: Using the word "clicker." Calling a "Foul ball" Giving the foul tip signal on a ball that just hit the fence. Making the call at 2B from short RF after making the no-catch call. Balking the hidden ball trick, after a dead ball. Texting my wife, in the middle of an inning. Telling a coach that my partner got the call wrong. There might be some more that have been fixed by reading Playboy, but that is all that I can think of for now. In general, I normally just read it for the articles. (But look at it for other things.)

I would definitely file a report. When I was an RA in college, we would file what we called a "sticky report." It was the standard formal report that would go on file, and then add a sticky note on the top with additional information that might be pertinent, but couldn't/shouldn't be in the report (i.e., what the parents said in the parking lot). Some may see this as "cheating" or "unfair" but it was very effective in getting the info to people who need it with out sacrificing someones anonymity.

I think you can change it by editing the first post, then clicking "Go Advanced" and edit the subject. I think this works, but I haven't tried it here yet.

To get back to the original question, I like the WV shins. They fit well and protect well, but you really need to make sure to get some compression pants. They keep you cool, and help with any rubbing that occurs from the pads, or with my the strap-ends.

Could you "catch" the crowd? Instead of "untossing" them?

Do you think that a rule will ever be instated that requires us (umpires) to wear either HSMs or a hard shell cap/helmet?
