  1. It was fun, learned a lot. They had a lot of great guys there and the instruction was really good. I'd encourage anyone to go if they get a chance. Definitely worth the drive (for me at least) for free top tier instruction.
  2. @Thunderheads SOLD... lock please. Thanks All!
  3. Hi Guys, I have an extra Nike Ti I'm looking to sell. Has been worn on a handful of games, but has not taken any shots, appears brand new. I have an umplife flex harness that I can add if you like. The harness is used, but in good condition. The neoprene is a little sun-faded. Frame + Harness = $235 Shipped Frame Only = $220 Shipped
  4. I just went to check because I was curious. That's really weird because I haven't heard anything either. I seem to remember them talking about an updated logo in 2024-25 but I wasn't expecting black too. Somewhat of a pleasant surprise, though by the time this takes effect I'm not sure I'll be doing any HS ball, but if I am that'll be a welcome change.

    Lol
  6. Interesting- I hadn't heard that, but I don't think I'd be surprised were it true (the shirts).
  7. Seems as though they finally ran out of NOS Majestics and they couldn’t get a deal with Smitty (from a contractual standpoint) so they went with Rawlings, which is “in-house” for MLB, so it worked out easier for them this season. I’m not a huge fan of the new shirts personally.
  8. It was just a joke that OHSAA makes you wear Navy in HS, but we have PO doing the MLB uniforms.
  9. The only balancing point against us still wearing Navy
  10. Not sure where I see anything that hurts my argument, since the provisions in 7-3-1 has 2 different sentences, one of which I’ve already explained (the second one), and @The Man in Blue explained as well. A different sentence that is just in a bad spot which applies to something else. It’s just the FED book being the way it is. Also not sure why you continue to bring up “delaying the game” when part of 7-3-1 literally says he “delivers a legal pitch”… where is the delay? You said it’s not delay yourself… so I feel like you ignored the part I (and TMIB) listed about the pitch being legally delivered. That second sentence about the batter needing to keep a foot in applies here… or we go to a penalty which is a strike regardless of location or 2 strikes if B1 steps out w/ both feet. Additionally, Sr Azul has supported The Man in Blue and I’s argument with his case plays.
  11. It's applicable becuase it cites 7-3-1 AND despite it being a balk rule, it contains a provision that isn't really related to balking. Here is 6-2-4d-1: "failing to pitch to the batter in a continuous motion immediately after any movement of any part of the body such as he habitually uses in his delivery; [WE DON'T CARE] 1. If the pitcher, with a runner on base, stops or hesitates in his delivery because the batter steps out of the box (a) with one foot or (b) with both feet or (c) holds up his hand to request “Time,” it shall not be a balk. In (a) and (c), there is no penalty on either the batter or the pitcher. The umpire shall call “Time” and begin play anew. In (b), a strike shall be called on the batter for violation of 7- 3-1. In (a), (b) and (c), if the pitcher legally delivers the ball, it shall be called a strike and the ball remains live. Thus, two strikes are called on the batter in (b). If the umpire judges the batter’s action to be a deliberate attempt to create a balk, he will penalize according to 3-3-1n." I've highlighted the "second" provision. You can't balk if the ball is legally delivered, so that proves this part isn't related to the balk rule. It also cites back to 7-3-1: "Delay the game by failing to take his position promptly in the - batter’s box within 20 seconds. [<-WE DON'T CARE] The batter must keep at least one foot in the batter’s box throughout the time at bat." I agree that this is not a delay of game. But, the rule is clear in saying that one foot must be kept in the box. Sure, that applies to between pitches, but based on how this is written, I also belive it applies during the pitch too. "Throughout a time at bat" includes during action... so stepping out during a pitch violates this. Why? Becuase of 6-2-4d-1 where I highlighted that if the pitcher legally delivers the ball, and the batter has 1 foot out of the box, it's a strike. I think the crew got this right. It's a dumb rule. It should just be calling the pitch as it may be, but if you put these rules together, I think they have it right.
  12. I don’t know, but I would venture to say no. At most levels of USSSA I doubt they’re worried about that. Most of the U-Trip I used to do had some modifications anyways, so I’d imagine that would be one (leaving it out). I could be totally wrong though.
  13. What size are the screws? I need to get them but am not sure of the size. Did I see 5/8 somewhere else?
  14. Could be. They hate change, apparently. Bold point #2 agrees with bold point #1. I don't do a ton of HS stuff anymore but I'm so tired of wearing navy and worrying about an extra set of everything uniform wise. The fact they they are so concerned about where kids wear the signal cards, jewlery, and eye black rules should explain itself. It's just dumb. Why can't we move on from them treating it like it's still the 90s or something.
  15. I think in years past I've seen threads w/ that info, but I haven't seen anything that's been updated recently, unless I just haven't noticed.
  16. Unless I missed something somehwere, not okay for the pitcher (on the belt) in NCAA. 9-2-h Note. "Note: In order to facilitate receiving signals in an accurate and timely manner, a pitcher may wear a wristband with a signal card insert on his non-pitching wrist/ forearm. It must be black or a solid, dark color. If the insert is not covered with a flap, it should be on the inside of the wrist to reduce any distraction to the batter. There shall not be any attachment to the pitcher’s glove."
  17. To be frank, it's stupid. Very good point about the oven mitts. Funny they called and complained about the product being advertised that way... well guess what? Not everyone plays under (questionable) FED rules. NCAA kids can buy and wear these on the belt all they want.
  18. AFAIK you can still go to Wendelstedt. They just can't guarantee spots in pro baseball anymore. I could be wrong though. You can go to a day camp just to learn some things if you want, they're free. I'll be going to the camp in Cincy in a few weeks. Fingers crossed.
  19. I’ll give you a brief rundown of mine. Top/First Area: Gear. Shin guards, mask, CP. In the smaller “mesh” zipper area on the underside of the zipper top flap, I put an umplife accessory bag. Bottom Area: I put my umplife hat carrier, Skully, extra mask in an UL Mask Bag, and another accessory bag which holds my patches and rulebooks (the ref smart accessory pouch. Then you have 2 mesh zipper areas there as well. Left side gets 2 ball bags (main use). Right side gets 2 extra black and 1 navy (ew, thanks OHSAA) ball bags. The small zipper area by the handle at the front gets shoe cleaning stuff. Rags, scrubbing bubbles, etc. Finally, the 2 side zippered areas. One gets belt, gloves, and sunglasses, and the other (pretty much never opened) gets extra harnesses- mask, CP, and ref smart timer box w instructions and batteries. I know a few people that put shoes in the bottom as well. I have 2 Force 3 bags that I put them in and then put the bags over the handles. Uniform will be getting an UL garment bag once it’s back in stock.
  20. @Thunderheads This is sold… please lock. Thanks!
  21. Please do… I might do that
  22. This is a good idea. I'm looking for one of these but may have to resort to making one.
  23. So here’s my question because I’m a little confused, and this is slightly off topic so I’m sorry, but do the Gerry Davis have an expandable waistband? Do they have poly wools as well? Do those have an expandable waistband? What about Honig’s poly wools?
  24. Just realized these are like $10-15 more than Smitty. I'm kinda interested
