@Dish It Out get the GD model on sale for $99. Customer service is top shelf, and the product design is amazing. I am 6'4 205 and wear the 14" D30 version. It hits me right at the bottom of ribs. If stomach protection is an issue, get the 3" extension!

Why do we allow baseball coaches to continually start late? Varsity Football, 7pm kickoff, oh what do you know, the kickoff is at 7. Varsity Basketball, 7 pm tip off, oh what do you know, the tip off is at 7. Varsity Baseball, suggested start time, 345 pm. email the coach/AD a day or 2 before, typically no reply. Walk to the field 335, oh look, coach is still at 2b watering it down. 345 he strolls to the plate meeting, then wants to chat, Intros/anthem/ etc, 1st pitch 356. WHY? Actually had a D2 College coach tell us at the plate on Friday that Saturday was his Senior Day and we would probably be running about 10 minutes behind but "we could show up 10 min before SCHEDULED start time and 'stand over there' while they finished. " For real. That happened 2 weeks ago. He fully expected us to just give him 20 minutes of our time for free. No lunch between the double header. nothing. We showed up at the scheduled start time.

I recommend 1 size down. there is a lot of "tail" if you order true sizing.

I am a "send the check swing" call to U1/U3 with 2 hands, palms up. I started using it a couple of seasons ago and just really like it. No room for confusion either. I was having the point the "yes he did" with the hand on the batter side last week with a partner. He is in the use the hand on the batter side camp, and I am a Stand up, big point with the left hand, verbal "YES", twirl that right hand in a circular motion, and the strike point. I cant bring myself to point with the right hand, then point again for the strike call. It may have to do with the fact I am 6' 5" and am not hiding behind many F2s. When I stand up and point at the batter, its easily seen. Can anyone confirm where the "point with the hand on the batter side" mechanic came from?

@DerekGDS is doing some cool things with the new Mirage Pads...........you will just have to Trust The Process on these. As for now, 10000% the AS LUC pads from a MAG are the best option (in my opinion).

I was scratching my shoulder during a game the other day and felt the zipper. Post-game me and the 2 guys on the crew were bewildered.

Can anyone tell me what the zipper inside the Smitty pullover is for? It runs from the left shoulder straight down almost to the waist.For the life of me I can not figure it out. You might think it is for ventilation, but I do not see an entry p\point on the outside.

they were just both really slow getting out, and wanting to spend their entire time throwing pitches. I know how to manage the clock between innings, but sometimes, teams are just slow/dont care, or the "last guy didnt enforce it"

D2 series this weekend, visible clock, teams are slow to come out EVERY inning, F2 told if he throws down, he will be subject to clock violation. Next half, HC is complaining that we are the "only" crew enforcing the clock and "NO ONE" has not let his guy throw down. THE CLOCK IS IN 2 SPOTS AND AT LEAST 2 FEET TALL!!! Rule has been around for 4 years now. Figure it out.

As the title suggests. https://pioneerfit.com/products/black-referee-umpire-belt-in-stock I met the family that makes these and other belts at a trade show we attended last fall. They made a 1.5" at the time and they now make a 1.75" on both regular and HD. Belts are made in the USA and the quality is incredible. The biggest differentiator is that the belt holes are .5" apart vs 1". Yep, they patented this. The 1.75 fits snugly in the new GD NCAA pants "wide" back loop, and looks good in all the others. They have a wide variety of sizes available. Buckles are silver and easily changed by unscrewing the chicago screws used to hold it on. I recommend the HD for the Plate and the regular for the bases. I get no commission from this, and the code is UMPIRE15 for a 15% discount. they usually only give 10%, but gave us 15%. Its a great company and a great product. Support a small business and get a great product!

IMO the frame is a tiny bit narrower. Where this frame excels is in the vision window. I have been a staunch ASMAG guy for the past few years and own 3 different ones. It really took some getting used to though, as the window seemed smaller and it took a while for me to really understand the sightlines. Fast forward to the Mirage. The first thing I noticed was the vision. While it may not look like the window is wider, once the mask is on it is apparent that @DerekGDS and @MadMax put thought into this. One of the other features is that a 6 stitch fits under it without touching the front crossbar. I prefer a 4 stitch behind the dish, but there is a certain "NO 4 STITCH HATS ALLOWED" assignor in So Cal.
