In FED, couldn't you have OBS (blocking without the ball) an illegal slide, and no MC? Then you would have an out, but no EJ.

2 man mechanics. R1, 1 out. Fed. Ground ball to F6, bobbled, as he is coming towards 2nd, R1 slides head first and is safe as f6 never gets to 2b. R1 slides through the bag and makes contact with F6 as he is making the throw. I signal safe, then "time, that's interference" I call R1 out and then BR out to end the inning. I know in a double play situation the clean up of the slide is U1 responsibility. In this case, it happened right in front of me and there was no DP on the initial play. Is the U2 supposed to make that call, or should it be U1? I (u2) made the call because there was no DP, it happened right in front of me, and the contact occurred as the throw was made, is that u2 call?

I ordered the Roshe spikeless ones I mentioned above. For me, the Nike shoes just fit me better. While I wait for those to arrive, I ordered the Nike Roshe GTour shoes for those wet days and muddy fields. Wore them on Saturday. Great comfort while standing. Felt as if I were standing on the field in a running shoe. Running in them, they felt a little stiff, but I have a feeling they will break in over time. Lateral movements were no issue. The grip on the bottom gives me the confidence to move quickly in any direction. They appear very "dress shoe" like, as they are the TOUR model. Wearing them I felt like a 1970s AL umpire, and I wanted to go get a burgandy jacket to match them. These will be getting a spit shine in the next few days. Anyone have thoughts on wearing the Nike Roshe G golf shoe on the bases? Great traction, and very comfortable.

If you know these. Shoes, you know they fit about 1/2 size small. I typically wear a 13. I'd give these a 7.8/10. Passing these on as i am now wearing the NB. $35
