Wow I just got mine in mail today. Switched out my stock diamond ix3 pads. You can really tell the difference. The stock pads were like padding for a kiddie toy. The TW pads are the real deal.

So do I need TWs in the zero gravity mask? I ordered the tan TWs for the titanium colored one. Have black diamond featherweight with black TWs already.

Agreed. I guess it would take a ump getting hit in the MLB for them to go to helmets too. idk

Was watching a MLB highlight and since the base coaches now have to wear helmets do you think they will ever make umpires to wear similar helmets in the field? Just wondering what yall think?

I have a used one too. I plan on getting mine repadded by team wendy. The call it retrofitting.

@NWA_UMP what brand do you recommend for compression tights?

Anybody do little league or pony league games and switch pants? Most the guys I ump with wear grey pants from the store.

So you guys that wear only plate and base pants. Do you do little league or pony league games where you do two games plate and bases? And walk to your car between games to change? Im wearing the battle compressions under my pants. Not a pretty site to see me in compression shorts!!!!

I do pony games. 2 games a night one plate one field. Have cliff keen and honigs adjuster already. What are your favorite type? Is Smitty and Gerry Davis any good?

I have shock doctor and nutty buddy. Nutty buddy is better.

The compression shorts have two elastic strap that criss cross between your legs where your jewels are located. I believe this helps keep the cup close to your body.

Just got a nutty buddy cup and two battle compression shorts in mail. 2nd short was half off, bought from nutty buddy website. If you are not wearing these you need to try it. Best cup I have ever worn and the compression shorts actually make the cup sit snug against your body. You barely feel like you are wearing a cup.

I'm a head HS football coach and now pony league umpire. Used to be a HS umpire. I feel your pain!

I got some Louisville Slugger baseball socks Im wearing behind the plate and they are terrible!!!! Are the Force 3s still most guys favorites?

I highly recommend these and their base shoes. I have the platinum shins and they give me good enough ankle protection to be able to wear the low top plates. Some umps have told he they dont like the low top plates.

Does anyone not cross the lower straps in the back and just go across? Tried that with the floating knee strap taken off and they feel awesome! So you only have 3 straps attached. the highest one and the two bottoms straight across.
