@NWA_UMP I have all diamond featherweight stuff now. Used to have all +pos over 10 yrs ago. Sul mask, armor cp, and the flat armor shins.

Pledge on a dusty plate hat cleans up nicely from what I remember. Spray it on and wipe it off. These are old school dudes most arent alive anymore.

I been out over ten years. Old timers taught me to fold my hats up and close pin them. The flex fit caps I were given aren't good for folding up. I have to fitted combo hats that could be folded. Anybody still do this and if so can u post some pics of the procedure and how you do it. Thanks.

@vaumps do the feather weights turn on u behind the plate? Do I need to tighten them up? The top strap do u put above your calf? If the top strap goes below my cal they really move a lot. Coach me up on how to wear them successfully. I'm also 245lbs and they aren't very wide for my tree trunks.

Anybody that has the platinum shins? Do u wear the toe taps or do u take them off? I have plate shoes. Just wondering what others do.

When I use to do softball I would track ball as it came out of hand on release down next to hip. In baseball I track ball from the time it comes out of glove. I have been out for over 10 years and I have asked others when do they track one vet said I don't know I just call ball or strike. So idk.

Do the sun shields actually do anything if u have a hat on under the mask? Never thougt about it helping with sunburn!

Good question about goals. I just got back umpiring two weeks ago Im 36. Im doing Pony ball. Im umping to pay off some bills. I guess if my goal is to be MLB ump its you have to go to the pro school.
