Just got back after over 10 years out. Had no equipment. I got all Diamond featherweight stuff- mask, cp, and sgs. Hate the chin guards. Mask and cp are ok. Got these cause my boss is gonna take it out of my check. What should I get next? Doing pony ball now want to work way to varsity and college. Thanks.

Thanks for all yalls help. One more thing. When behind the plate inbetween innings I stand on the side of the team that is going out (just batted)? On the foul line about midway between home and first, or home and third? right? Or do I stand on the side of the team coming in, getting ready to bat.

Yes starting postition is what im talking about. I cant see the 1st base ump on tv in the mlb games. I might go see a minor league game here in richmond to watch the umps. Yes hands on knees is what I meant by bent over. So the MLB guys use hands on knees at first in A postition as pitcher is pitching?

Ordered the all black zigs for plates. Wearing nike diamond trainers in filed now cause I got them at dicks sporting goods. Had all pluspos stuff. Plastic mask, big hard plastic chest protector that looked like I had a bra on, my shins were the plus pos flat ones with the plates that wrapped around my leg. Gave it all away. Now I have all diamon lightweight cause that's what my boss gave me and had no equipment. Gonna take out of my check. Got cliff clean combo pants and shirt. Clicker is different cause balls are on top now.

Been out of umping for 10 years just getting back. What happened to Gerry Davis plate shoes? Also don't even want to ask about pluspos? Lol thanks.

Do you wear a cup in the field too? If so I would add the steel plates to base shoes.
