  1. Looks like an Ai response.
  2. "Hi, we'd like to move today's 7pm game up to 1pm. We have a band concert that suddenly appeared out of nowhere"
  3. Don't you know all we do is sit at home waiting for the phone to ring? We couldn't possibly be doing anything else.
  4. Yet, when a team drops or moves a game for no reason or no good reason, and the crew loses a game...there seems to be minimal resistance. Isn't a placeholder essentially the same thing? It also eliminates that administrative scramble. In areas where there's no other association where they could pick something up, there's no harm in a placeholder.
  5. There's nothing wrong with doing it for the money.
  6. Does only a 60% success rate from our F2s show that coin flip pitches really are coin flip pitches.
  7. And that is the challenge. In states that have done this, the ratings from the losing team where almost always lower.
  8. Hopefully the group you're auditioning for also appreciates those who get their calls right. This is something so minor and inconsequential, it must be a very elite group to be looking at creases in pants. This group probably wants you to also remove the "MLB" logo on the shirt b/c "you're not an MLB umipre" even though said shirts are simply sold w/ the logo...it's not like it was put on their by the umpire. Sigh
  9. TT HC didn't seem to put up too much of a stink as this one was pretty obvious. Refreshing.
  10. What do we think? Does Penn State have a case or is the interference judgement vs a misapplication? NCAA 7-11-n “A whole bat is thrown into fair or foul territory, whether intentionally or not, and it interferes with a defensive player attempting to make a play immediately after the batter becomes a batter-runner. Interference shall be called; Note 1: The batter, after hitting a ball or becoming a batter-runner, has some responsibility about where they throw their bat so that it does not interfere with a defensive player making a play on the ball. However, once that initial play in the area of home plate is over, it would be unfair to punish the batter if the defense throws a ball toward home plate to attempt another play and F2 or another fielder steps on the bat.”
  11. Hopefully they'd at least call it a foul ball.
  12. I'm simply trying to figure out what was called. There's a case for a couple of things.
  13. I think it's a balk...but I'm not totally sure. What says the hive?
  14. That's the Carl that we knew and loved. 🙏
  15. I think Britney sang a song about this.
  16. Duplicate. Being covered here:
  17. Since I'm bored this morning
  18. So...I looked up the wind in Charlottesville, Va on April 16 and it looks like it was pretty windy at times with some pretty stiff gusts. The pink numbers are the gusts.
  19. I agree with that...and should have added "wind" into my post.
  20. We have a general consensus that this was an error by the crew? Correct? This was not ordinary effort. The defense should not have been awarded an out.
  21. Agree. Why bail out the defense?
  22. Yep! The rule is in place to protect the offense!
