the fact of the matter is that is the proper mechanic--if the base umps goes into fouls area in order to make the call at first(that is the first priority) THEN IT IS THE PLATE UMPS PLAY INTO SECOND--with the two man system that is the mechanic

BR is out it is up to the defence to no the rules --catcher did not have to throw the ball--the BR was running in the running lane so score the run!!!!

it is not even a warning--when the ball left the field it is ruled a award--the runners are not advancing during a live ball. I do not think the umpire is a dope--maybe trying too hard to be a ump--as he/she works more and learns more--hope the the ump gets better and learn from this and someday can look back and see his/her mistake.

in your post you state the the pitch hits the corner you will not call a strike because it is to hard to hit?????? In my opinion---Give the pitcher his due those are pitchers out pitches. I call the zone as what the zone is a rectangle.

in the post it sayes the coach intentionally interfered not just interfered

first third base coach is ejected(that is the easy one) the obstruction happened before R1 reached third. because ball became dead when coach interfered. R1 stays at third. if obstruction happened after R1 reached 3rd R1 is awarded home.

it would be nice if more people would try there hand at umpiring--most people think they can do until they try to do it and discover it is not as easy as they think.
