It looks minimal (especially in comparison to the Cobalt). TheLovejoy Posted February 27 Report Posted February 27 I have tried all of them...and I'm not joking... Evo, Rawlings, old All Star, and All Star Cobalt, Jaydkin, Easton.. The bill on this one is too long for the All Star Mag, since the frame sits more 'shallow' or closer to your face. I did try this one with the Davis, which fit fine, but.... I HATE the high gloss.... It's super reflective on a sunny day. The foam on this one is pretty comfortable on your head, but there isn't much of it. I'd agree that it will take a ball or bat better than a standard hat, but it's probably the worst out of all of the skullys that I've tried. Quote

Sadly, I think Evoshield is the only company that makes Navy skullys for umpires, so for our FED friends, they only have one choice. Quote

Rawlings, Easton, and Jadekylin all make Navy. Now, even if they 'don't'.... your local assignor is going to tell you that you can't wear a black skully, to protect your dome? Eeessshhh... I'd have a hard time telling any of my guys they can't wear something that gives them some comfort, confidence, and extra protection. Quote

The main reason I looked, is because I thought that an association that I joined would require navy. Then, they changed their entire base to black accessories, with Navy as an option. Before, it used to be Navy as default with black as an option. Then, they realized that it's 2026, and they are tired of being the 'behind the curve boomers who can't adapt a little', and made the flippity flop. Get a doctors note that says you're required to wear a skully to protect your smartness. Then, tell the associations that you couldn't get it in navy, so you had to get black while it was in stock. They won't tell you no then 🤷♂️ Quote
