johnnyg08 Posted February 6 Report Posted February 6 For D2 & D3 who does the bat testing? Here's the entire memo...but I'm asking specifically for D2 & 3. Quote
BLWizzRanger Posted February 6 Report Posted February 6 Just like D1, the home team has personnel or managers who do it. The away team, of course, have their observers there too. They gather the bats before the game(s), perform the testing, and return the bats with stickers noting a bat has passed. 1 1 Quote

Thanks. I was nervous for a moment, but now I'm not. Quote

Some conferences will require the crew chief to be present for it as well. I don't think anyone is actually having the umpires administering the bat testing process. Quote

A lot of grief with that. 1 Quote

That's the start to look for a sticker but you still have In game damage to assess. Flat bat, rattles, cracks, top of bat still attached, etc... 1 Quote

Which I take is to say that you're observant but not actively looking. Makes sense. And same as every other level (even the notorious pregame inspection by LL umpires ended last year). 1 Quote
