I am sure I’m not alone in my admiration of the TW pads.  Last night once again reaffirmed my belief that this is the single best product made for us. Took a foul ball directly to the U bar on the forehead. I don’t have the particulars on how fast or hard. However, I walked the ball out to the pitcher and I am perfectly fine.  My Nike TI not so much. Tony at Mask-it  says he can fix it. Either way it did its job. Thank you TW. @Whosyourcaddy didn’t this come with a life time warranty?  Just kidding

… yet.
Emphasis on yet.

I can assure you, what @DerekGDS is dedicated to crafting of mask pads will equal or better TWs. The shame is that TWs are no longer made.

Now, I could argue with you (I like you too much, @boyinr) about the TWs being “best” (mask pads)… but at least you qualified “for us”. TWs have always been for us (umpires). By contrast, my technical opinion is convinced that WindPacts are better; however, they’re only available to catchers, attached to (otherwise) catchers masks. They’re not even available for individual sale or supply!

Criminal. Utterly criminal… and not the fault of WindPact.

So, the intent of these new pads from GDS is to pick up the baton that Team Wendy carried as far as it could, and with some principles found in All-Star LUC-Mag pads, carry protection for us dramatically forward.

That’s actually how Tony started his business – he bent his own Nike Ti, and wanted it rectified. His metal shop is one of the few places that has an industrial press, and knows how to use it for this application.

I would really like for all of us to disassociate Nike from that mask that @Whosyourcaddy is doing us a real service on importing. Nike wouldn’t give ya the time of day.

Excited to see what Derek and GDS come up with
