I'm looking for a umpire equipment bag. I had the Ebag but my zipper has messed up.  Ebag company was bought by Samsonite and they don't honor the lifetime warranty that Ebag had. Does anybody have anything or know a good equipment bag that isn't 150 dollars!

Yup. I fully endorse and use the Fūl Workhorse. Shaped plastic tub chassis means it is a helluva lot tougher than those pathetic “gear bags” that have 2 weak spines running barely the length of the bag’s underside. Those always sag and break, and it feels like you’re dragging around a defiant St. Bernard.

Ooof. 😬 That’s going to be tough lately. Travel has ramped up again, and luggage companies are licking their chops on price-gouging, and of course, “cheap” bags are made in you-know-where.

Even my favored Fūl Workhorse has seen its price escalate up to $200-$250, but I have seen it on eBay, or special priced on Amazon for $99-$139.

Still got it? I can tell you, from experience, that there are luggage repair shops that can re-track or replace the zippers, at a significant cost savings. My Workhorse has been with me for tens of thousands of miles, truly by planes ✈️ trains 🚊 and automobiles 🚙, and has endured abuse after abuse. Due to a particularly bad airline mishandling, it needed the primary zipper repaired. The luggage repair shop I was serviced by completely repaired that zipper, and replaced two of the other four zippers, for $30 all things told.

Look into it.

I'd love it if someone resurrected the ebag. I have a F3 bag, and I like it overall, but there are little things that annoy me about it.

Glad I managed to snag one at the end.

I may be wrong, but I’m betting that Amazon bag is not up to the same quality level.

Here is the question I would ask you: what are you going to do with it?

Do you need your gear to be easily transported (meaning: moved from your vehicle)?  This would be if you work places with locker rooms or dressing spaces.

Do you just need your gear organized and stored?  If you are a trunk-junk warrior, you don’t need a portable bag.  You need a nice storage setup.
