Hi everyone, I'm starting training to be a little league umpire in my county pretty soon and figured joining a place like this would be a good idea. Looking forward to getting to know the folks here!

Lots of great umpires got their start in Little League! Hope you get some quality training and develop a passion for the craft. Welcome!

That's how I got my start 5 or 6 years ago. Enjoy the ride--and always be learning!

🙋‍♂️ Holden Little League.  Holden, MA.  1989.  Very proud to say I started my umpiring career there for $11/game.  At 13-years old it beat flipping burgers!

You're far from "late" . I started at the ripe old age of 50. Sometimes I wish I started sooner, but I'm grateful I got to watch and coach my kids without having to split time between officiating and watching or coaching.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. 😳… you got paid???

Well, there goes the narrative that the only way to progress in LL is to volunteer!
