Can a batter bunt a ball then run on to the field and grab the ball to make an out on purpose as instructed by his coach to make the game move along faster?

There are far easier ways to get an out, if that's what you want to do.

I've seen LL teams up big bunt with two outs and also, in a 9U walk-fest, send R3 slowly moving home (F2 was very confused but tagged for the out).

I was told by my UIC that a base coach "realized"* he could get an out on his team by assisting a runner. Next one that came close to him go a bear hug for the 3rd out.

* Umpires may have mentioned something along this lines to prompt his thinking. Not saying I'd do that but that's the story I was told.

I've had kids swing at every pitch...and if they somehow hit the ball they were instructed to run right to the dugout.

In softball I've had baserunners simply step off the base while the pitcher was on the rubber.

I've done this to move the game along in time limit situations...I've also done it (the baserunner move) to help the other team get out of a bad situation (eg. we've scored 10 runs, they keep making errors, pitcher is exhausted and they just can't make an out)
