4 cops to clear the field

Cal Ripken district tourney, 2 umpires for T Ball, yes,  TBall. Friday night parent had to be escorted out by tournament director, Saturday morning something happened causing parents and coaches to storm the field, I never got the details. One parent went to jail, several were given criminal trespass warnings. Fortunately the police department is literally in the parking lot of this complex. 

Then parents wonder why they don't have umpires.

Some jacka** cost that parents 5 year old his college scholarship, so it’s completely understandable.

We just need to stream all youth sports...

Moms? Dads? Guardians? Drop off your kids, then find an internet connection at least one mile from the ballpark. Return for pickup at the end of the game.

These kids will never remember the winning or losing...they will only remember the grown ups' behavior and conduct.

fwiw, in my local t-ball (4-5 yr olds) every kid got a single (even on the 0.00000000000000000001% of the time they were putout) and the last kid up each inning got a home run. Biggest game managment issue I had as manager was getting the batting order rotation right so every kid got his home run turn (3 inning games, 13 or 14 players (can't remember)). Took me a bit to clue into the issue - I was helpfully informed though  No score was kept, no playoffs or championships.

When they do this I will do youth ball again. Took this year off.. for other reasons and didn't miss it at all, other than the guys I ump with.
