Umpire interference?

Runner on third, catcher misses the pitch low (called a ball) gets by catcher and hits plate umpire in the foot and ricochets to backstop, runner from third advances home and scores.

Is this a dead or live ball? Should run score or return to third with just a ball called and then dead ball called?

Umpires can only interfere with a catcher's throw or by being hit by a batted ball before it passes a fielder.  By rule.
