This happened 6 yrs ago to a colleague of mine. As far as I know, nothing ever happened to the attacker cop.

Brings to mind this quote from a CBUA bulletin:

The article cites an arrest affidavit, which is the document used to file charges against the offender.  So he's not going to get away with it.
