Blizzard Warnings

And these aren't Dairy Queen Blizzards unfortunately...

For many of you this is not anything, but Blizzards in Northeast North Carolina are very few and far between. Over a typical winter we will have 1-2 brief stints of sub-zero temps but nothing sustained and we'll get a snow with an inch or less of accumulation maybe every other year. The Weather Channel is calling for 4-7 inches plus wind gusts of up to 50 MPH and whiteout conditions. And depending on which of the local stations you watch we could be getting up to 20" of snow. We have had some snow storms in the past and in 2001/2002 we got a couple of feet but not combined with 50 MPH winds. 

The last blizzard I recall was in the early 1980's and we actually got over 3 feet and I remember a snow drift actually building on the side of my house where we could walk up it and onto our roof.

Usually we get hit sometime in March.  Like last year.  10" on March 14th.

First game was scheduled for March 15th.

Finally got on the field on March 29th.
