Saw and read this article. Pretty interesting. I'm lucky enough not to have seen this play since my really early days umpiring youth baseball.

No HS team has pulled this yet.

Sam is a story teller... I used to listen to his podcast, Effectively Wild... It looked at baseball in a different way.

I was surprised that the author said the Miami play  (phantom pickoff) would never work in higher level ball..
