Why was the slide rule not called when Russo slide past second in the 4 th inning

The point of the FPSR in FED and NCAA was to eliminate the runner going towards the fielder for safety issues... This is a clear violation of FED and NCAA FPSR. That's not picking at anything... Thats what they want called.

You're the one who erroneously stated that it is illegal to slide past the bag in FED. False. Only if:

Sliding past the bag is legal in OBR and NCAA.  Only illegal in high school rules.

The OP  asked why the slide wasn't called as illegal. Did you watch the video?  The runner DID make contact with the fielder. Therefore an illegal slide in FED.

 

The FED rule is makes contact OR (not and) alters the play.  Only has to violate either provision.
