The UIC for "Baseball USA" said that the umpire will not be calling games there anymore.  Perhaps it was because the umpire got into an argument with a fan, or because of what was said, but I would sure like to understand why that decision was made.

Video sure looked like the kid at least threw some shade at the catcher's face. Surprised he wasn't tossed for that.

From the small chunk of video, it doesn't look like there was much arguing by the umpire. And it did look like the kid took a swing at the catcher. Was it malicious? I don't know. But after listening to the coach/judge talk to the umpire, I would suspect that there was something not quite right at that game.

I started my career calling at BUSA. Sadly that kind of behavior from some of the coaches I saw there doesn't surprise me a lick. Pay to play select ball coaches who think they are the best.
