The only close time play I have had in the last couple of years was with R1 & R2 with one out.  Base hit and R2 scored just before R1 was tagged out at third.  Bragging rights game between two big programs in the area.

Have had that exact same play and nailed it.  Base umpire had a hard time that I was signalling a possible timing play with one out and nobody on second.

Did you see the pro umpires do that? The time play signal is given with runners in scoring position and two outs. All trained umpires know that a time play can happen at other times. What's your time play signal with one out?

Same as with 2 outs. I've been to pro school.  Maybe my partner isn't aware of the situation.

So what other out and runner configs do you give a time play signal and what would it be with one or no outs?
