Watching MLB network and their "analysts" makes me wonder if these guys have ever read the rulebook.... They're flabbergasted at what defines the running lane on the way to 1st base and are using the grass line as the criteria. The grass line in fair territory. In their eyes establishing the lane in places like Toronto is impossible because there's no dirt..... :bang:

first of all, @ricka56 is correct ......

secondly ........ this will probably be the first of MANY discussions MLB network has on this type of play, or ruling .....its exhausting, and embarrassing!

Guys, I hate to be the one to burst the bubble, but networks are not in the rules, truth, or accuracy businesses.

I'm shocked that people around here are shocked by what people say on TV. We seem to have gotten our heads around the fact that the interwebs are full of untruth, but still somehow expect correctness on TV.

Reality TV isn't, and neither is Sports TV.

FYI...Toronto HAS a dirt infield

A look at the new dirt infield at Rogers Centre home of the Toronto Blue Jays.
