Pink Shirt Question

With the NFL awash in pink for the month of October (and for a very good reason), what are your thoughts on umpires donning a pink shirt or something of the sort for the first game of the World Series?

I cannot recall if they do that on Mother's Day when players use pink bats, etc.,  I thought it would be a good opportunity for MLB to show their support for such an important cause during a showcase event.

Just a question to start a discussion.

it doesn't hurt anything but let's not fool ourselves into thinking it's doing much good either...the NFL's 'pink washing' campaign, when you look into the details of it, is one of the most cynical and self-serving marketing campaigns around. A very small, single digit percentage of the money raised actually goes to anything remotely close to charity or research, and much of that is for other 'awareness' programs. Sure, there's some good being done, it's not entirely useless - though there's debate in the medical community if even the screenings are effective - but if only $0.08 on the dollar is actually going to the cause? Well...

Wow. I did not realize that so little of the money went to the cause. That is ridiculous. 

Given the NFL's well publicized issues with domestic violence, you would have thought they would have seen that more money went to where it would help.

Oh, you want to see real cynicism? Their "NO MORE" campaign appears to be nothing BUT branding/crisis mgt....

we usually wear the ECLL hat, but he wears a HSM with no hat, so i wore a hat with a longer bill on the bases.... 

and yes they are navy, that's what  the give us.....

No pink shirt for me - ever.  If everyone would take the money that they spend on all of this pink stuff and put it towards cancer research, then that would be a good thing. Millions of dollars wasted on stuff, just because it's pink -  put that money to good use to actually find a cure!
