Calm in the Storm of Bad Broadcasting: Detroit Replay Non-Reversal Ejection

Two things are unusual here, in a good way (notwithstanding an air-out tag-up double play standing on review because Andrus' foot might have or have not scraped second on his receipt of the bad throw):

1) Detroit broadcasters do a great job at being fair and objective, and;
2) They actually bothered to learn how to pronounce "Hamari" by asking the man himself.

The first time I watched it, and it was way before this post, was his foot was touching second base when the ball hit his glove. It wasn't as if he was bobbling the ball.  I still have that call.

So despite the fact that  U2 didn't call the out on that possiblity and called it on the dive with the glove?  U have the out call based on the foot touching the base?

He was moving when he made his call.  When we're moving it can negatively affect our judgment.  

That being said, I think replay had the out on the initial throw and tag of the base.  There's no way they had his glove beating Miggy's foot.

He may not have been in the best possible position to see the initial touch of the base.  I don't like the deal of not correcting it because of something completely different than what the manager was requesting, Miggy beating the tag of the base.  Not a fan of, oh wait, we just saw this.

Since review is justified "to get it right," I don't see how that review can be limited in that fashion. If the out call had been reversed, could the defense have then appealed the initial touch? Makes sense to review the play in its entirety.
