Offense can meet for free during a defensive trip.  

 

Can the defense meet for free during a charged offensive conference?

 

Rule 6-5-f4 states that "Offensive meetings shall not be charged during defensive team's timeout."

 

Rule 9-4 AR4 talks about offensive injury timeouts.

Yes, but they can't delay the game after the offensive conference breaks up.  He better be hustling off the field as the batter is heading back to the box.  Any delay of more than 10 seconds and I'm hitting him with a defensive conference.
