Gonna show my college friend in from Annapolis, an Orioles season ticket holder here in town to watch the games some great KC BBQ and then go hang out at Kaufmann.  Gonna try to score a ticket, not expecting to.

Wish me luck!

Go Royals!

Plenty seats on stub hub starting around $200. That would get you in the parking lot at a NY playoff game.

Scalpers did not win from me. $200 for seat ticket. $150 for standing room only. Not a good deal. No big deal. I'm in hotel across the street drinking Boulevard Wheat Beer from bottle watching on TV. Will join the tailgate party if Royals clinch.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ $$$$$$$$$^^^^^^^^^^^ Majordave, yeah thats a hard ticket to score right now, I'm suprised someone was willing to let it go for $200. My oldest son went to St. Louis over the weekend to the ST. Louis game, his uncle is a highup in the PD, scored some tickets for him. So are you hoping for a KC vs ST. Louis rematch, or would you rather see the Giants?

No preference who they play, just that the Royals are in it and that they play respectably if not win. A resurrection of the I-70 series would be cool. I won't be here for any of it though. I'll be in Arizona working the MABL/MSBL World Series. With @umpstu at least one DH next week.

Congrasts on the World Series appointment. I hate that you won't be in town for the series. Its a nice stadium in KC  I was there  about four or so years ago right after they installed the monster video board and had stadium renovation construction going on. I hate to cheer against my family but if St. louis makes it I will have to.

No worries. The K is a great place to watch a baseball game. I've had the privilege to work a college game there at 1B. My avatar photo on this site was taken in front of Royala/1B dugout.

Exciting to live here right now.

Funny some of the differences in this great country of ours. A "scalper" at Yankee Stadium selling seats for $200 for a potential league championship clinching game would be considered a steal.

My buddy got tickets from a scalper for $100 in the second inning.  19th row behind dugout.  What a game!!!  Go Royals!!!!

I remember hearing  a story about Bo Jackson was in his early years with KC against the Rangers, and KC's mgr warned Jackson that Nolan Ryans come inside on the first pitch, and for Bo not to lose his cool and charge the mound. Bo said OK I understand. The story goes that Bo walked to the plate and told Rangers catcher that if Ryan came inside on him he would charge the mound and whip his tail. The Rangers catcher called time and ran out to talk to Ryan, after a few minutes he returned and told Bo that Ryan  said the first pitch will be outside at the knees.
