By looks:

• The Upper U and the Lower Inverted U are uniform and round, not peaked like a V. Wilsons are more pointed or peaked.

• The earguards are tapered down and flared back. The struts are triangular and full-round-bar.

• The throat guard is oversized.

 

By feel:

• It's actual "naked" titanium through-and-through. If you scratch or nick a spot (behind an earguard, for example), it's consistently that metallic color. It is cost prohibitive to paint Titanium, and even powder-coated steel will have a different color if you scratch it deeper than the powder-coated layer. Titanium behaves like Aluminum, in that it rapidly (within 20-30 minutes) forms an oxidized "skin". Steel doesn't. Steel corrodes or rusts.
