Possible Uniform Jacket Change on the Horizon in NCAA?

I head a rumor the other day that next year NCAA is going to the Navy color with red stripes for jackets and some people out in the Western US are using this jacket already. 

 

To those of you out west: Is this true? Are you wearing Navy and not Black?

 

To the rest of the board: Have you heard this?

I've heard of a group of officials in Florida wearing navy…nothing out west though (I am not well connected out there though)

In Non-conference games the umpires can wear what that want as long as they match. In Florida they wear anything from navy to cream. For conference assignments, the approved uniform is black with the pro blue alternate. The NCAA tournament uniform consists of the same colors.

The NCAA has no control over umpire uniforms until post-season.  Each conference can establish their own uniform policies.

Agreed. NO WAY do they go back!

Here in OR/WA it is black or delta blue. No exceptions. At least for the college season. Summer is a different story... but not by much. @alex7 can vouch for me on this as we both sat in on the same meeting.
