Bottom 3 0 Outs.  HT is called out on strikes.  Catcher did not help me but it was a good fastball at the knees.  HT erupted  and Manger/3rd base coach says "There's no way that's a strike, that was below his knees" loud enough for the crowd to hear.  The comment is ignored.  He makes a similar comment which is also ignored.  After the 3rd comment, I take off my mask hold up a stop sign and say "That's enough!"  He pauses, contemplating what to do and says, "How can that be a strike if the catcher caught it sideways (and demostrates this with his hand)?"  "You're Gone!" with a crisp ejection mechanic.

Post Ejection was pretty calm other than him coming down to home plate to demonstrate in a catcher's stance how he caught it and how that can't be a strike, then he left the field within a minute.  The crowd seemed to think it was a quick ejection, but forgot in the end when they won the close game. UE has definitely helped me with game management in reading all these posts.  I felt confident on how to handle the situation, warn the manager and honor his request to be removed from the game.

I would have said, 'that's enough' after the second comment, but otherwise you handled it well. If the crowd is starting to get fired up because of what the coach is doing, you need to shut it down quickly. Those things can get out of hand very quickly.

I'm not gonna go through IAWE if the comments are all on one pitch. From what you described he gets one free one then I'm giving a "that's enough."

Agreed, and because the crowd was getting riled up...more reason to act quickly and decisively.

Thanks for the comments. With the crowd reacting and on a single pitch, I'll react faster with my warning in the future.

Someday I will tell my story about ejecting 8 players in one game. The moral of that story is, eject early and often, and you will prevent a riot later on.

Let me set the stage first. This game was my FIRST game doing LL Big League, the top of the LL food chain (16-18). I was not familiar with this particular division, but in our district, it was very competitive and very aggressively played ball. This would have been some very valuable information to have had BEFORE the game. My partner was a very senior 'big dog' from one of the local HS associations. I had the bases.

First incident happened on a steal of 2nd. F1's throw beat R1 by a step, I called him out, was turned toward 1st and heading back to A. F6 and now retired R1 start jawboning each other. R1 felt the tag was too "hard".  They get into each others faces.  I turn and told the to "knock it off", and they did. This was early in the game and I felt something wasn't quite right. Both teams were wound tight for a supposed 'rec league' game. There was tension in the air.

Second and triggering incident for the explosion was with the same player as in the first incident, hitting a gap triple, hard pop up slide into 3rd base. As he slides into 3rd he runs his shoulder into F5, bowling him over. EJ #1. F5 reacts by tackling R1 down to the ground, EJ#2, benches clear, my partner and I stand off to the side, and end up EJ'ing 8 total players, including one coming from the bench with a bat in his hand. The coaches do a bang up job clearing up the mess, and we limp through the game with no more problems, however the stands were quite loud and we ended up having the police show up just to calm things down a bit.

There was a back story to this game. These two teams were made up of players from two local rival high schools. This was back before there was elite travel ball, so those the didn't play Legion, ended up playing in the LL Big League program. It was well played ball, highly competitive. These two teams had issues during the HS season, which my partner knew about, but failed to tell me.
