When I was a Cooperstown Dreams Park last year, there was a guy selling lightweight very comfortable red (for use with blue shirts with red trim). Anyone know a good source for reasonably priced comfortable undershirts, not tighty underarmour style.

I use both the Under Armour "Compression" (skin tight) and the looser fitting "Touch Fitted" shirts (Under Armour 1217454 Touch Fitted SS Crew). The Touch Fitted shirts are probably what you're looking for. I buy all my UA stuff from sportsdepot.com - you may be able to find these shirts online cheaper elsewhere, but I've never had problems with Sports Depot so they can have all my Under Armour business. Their Cold Gear long sleeve shirts are also great for wearing under jackets for those cold spring days.

note: they seem to have several colors available

If you have a Target nearby, give the Champion C9 a try, very lightweight and only $10. I have several and they work well.

Thanks Bikerider,...I was going to mention that one also!

+1 on the Target C9 shirts. Best deal out there.

If you are looking for variety, i.e. you want to try different materials, different mfrs, then try Kohls. They had Addidas, Nikes, Fila, and a couple more brands. Most shirts were $15-17.

I wore red undershirts..................in 1999!!!

well then, you're very fortunate because most of us are in a situation where you have to wear navy SOME times.................

I wear navy polo shirts SOMETIMES.....I just wear a navy undershirt with it......

I'd venture to guess that along with mine, there are quite a few associations requiring red underneath navy ......or ....I don't think this thread would have started ;)

I think some of these associations need to get out of the dark-ages.....Navy polo with red undy only?? That's sooo late 90's...

In Ohio, OHSAA mandates this for all SB and BB umpires. It will not change any time soon either.

Chris

IBUA says Red or Navy Undershirt is good with Navy Polo.

I have both so if we ever work together wearing Navy Polo I now know we are wearing Navy Unders......:notworthy:

Here in New England (board to remain anonymous), we too are required to wear red underneath our navy polos. I wear a red mock turtle neck from McDavid. There not too hot even on a warm summers night. I must admit though, I would love to wear black. It just bleeds professionalism.

balls and strikes baby!!!!
