You'll enjoy the Zigs, I own black both plate and base, I hope you sized up though I normally wear 12s that fit great but the with the new zigs they have I had to go 13's with just a bit of room to spare. I think you should've treated yourself to the plate zigs, they are so light.

I didn't size up. I normally wear 12's, but really I'd say I'm an 11.5... If it doesn't fit, I shouldn't have a problem returning it... I didn't get the Zigs for the plate in part because there are no wide zigs, plus UA is out of stock in most sizes.

I can relate to the new plate shoes, just got me a new pair this year as well.  Nothing quite like a new toy to bring up the happy level.

Legend has it that Michael Jordan wore a new pair of shoes for every game because it made him feel special. Turned out okay for him based on the results. He also wore the same pair of shorts underneath his uniform. I personally do neither of these things.
