What a tough call to have to make it's not a force so you cant just watch the base you have to bee seeing the tag and the plate which in this case aren't really close at the same time.

he was blocked out on a wierd play, no doubt ..... poor throw = bad plays make umpires' lives difficult sometimes

Blaser should have stayed at 3BLX. He rotated himself right out of his angle. Even going the other way would have been better.

His idea to rotate was sound, he just didn't get far enough. Going the other way would have been shorter, an example of staying in the catcher's pocket bit him. Rare but it happens.
