Does anyone know if there is a factory source that supplies 16.5 shoes?

Just came back to umpireing and need new shoes.

Bought 15s before and had an old cobbler stretch them BUT he is dead AND my feet are bigger now.

No one seems to know how to do this anymore.

I have emails out to RB and Nike.

I want to say that the older Reebok plate shoes had large sizes .......

Are you talking plate or base?  Nike doesn't make "umpire shoes" certainly not plate, but only something you could 'use' for the bases .......

Thanks. Thats where I may be headed. Trying to find other gear is tough as well.

I checked New Balance for you too, they only go up to 15.  Sorry.  You may need to get steel-toed safety shoes (vs. umpire-specific shoes)

I need both.

In reallity 17s would be the perfect fit.

I have found a guy on NY that says he will duplicate any shoe for $600.00 per pair.

Wow!

If anybody knows where to find "super-sized" umpire shoes it would be our friends at ump-attire. I'd suggest giving them a call.  877.243.1421

Obviously they will not have them in stock but might know if they are available/ how to get them if they are.

Will call tomorrow.

Lots of my old gear needs replacing.

4X-6X shirts, 40X36 pants.

All are too worn to use every day.

Stored for 12 years.

Thanks.

Wow!

Pay the shipping and send the $400 finders fee. Just kidding, that's why we are here.

Should have seen them fitting me with uniforms in the Navy!

My 33 year old daughter wears mens size 14 1/2 shoes.

Try and find ladies shoes for her!

When my son was in HS he had a teammate with size 17 feet...........His father contacted the equipment manager of the local D1 school and they put him in touch with their supplier for athletic shoes.....17 was a non issue for NIKE...they supply college and pros with that size all the time....... not cheap, but beggars being choozy and all..........??

wont help with plate shoes, but maybe base shoes?

So if Nike does it, it should could follow that the other major sponsoring manufacturers (Adidas, Reebok) could do this as well.  New Balance is the first company that came to mind as they manufacture more sizes/widths than most, but you don't really see NB as a team sponsor too much so I don't know if they would be like the other guys.

Thanks.

I have a call into Nike, RB and NB.

Expect to go to steel workers shoes for plate shoes.

The plate shoes I have now are some old +POS shoes that I have been told are steel workers shoes.

Not fun after size 15.

Getting pants and shirts made can be done BUT expensive.

Thanks

If you go the steel toed work boot route I would recommend trying to get a pair of old plate shoes from somebody and having a cobbler remove the metatarsal plate and placing them on your work boot.
