Changed my vote to one.  Met Dan tonight at a cage session.  Great guy.
Hopefully we'll get a chance to work together sometime this season.

7 in person, I think.  There are several SoCal guys on here from what I understand. Plus I met a couple at camps.   Lucky enough to connect with a few more on Facebook.    That's how I know my politics are wrong.  :)

What blows my mind is how I know maybe 300 umpires, and only 7 are on these forums.    I would not do this job if it weren't for this and the other boards.

I only know 1 for sure. I have met umpires from all over the world, so maybe more? Has anyone ever worked in Bangor, Maine? I have also worked tournaments in South Jersey, Bristol CT and all over Maine.

I was also in Philly for the NCAA seminar this past Janaury.

Memorable areas that I have met umpires from include Texas, Florida & New England states.

As Larry said he has been around my area a couple of times. Then there are a couple of local guys that lurk but rarely post, so three. I have talked to quite a few on the phone, don't think that counts though.

Yeah, I text and email a handful of UErs that I've not met (yet) face to face.

The two I've met are umpires in the area. One was with our association, but moved on this year; the second I met at MidAm's clinic a few years ago and, I think, talked him into rejoining the association.

I've met just one. I bought him lunch when he was working a concert in Charlottesville. But I guess he doesn't remember. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
