Hello everyone,

Without being able to try the Honig Poly-Wools on, how do they fit? Trying to determine if I should size up or not.

I am used to the expandable waist that offers some degree of confort and fit especially wearing layers.

For those with bigger legs, do the base pants offer enough room?

Any input on both base and plate pants is appreciated. Thanks!

Order your size.

I observe that the Poly-Wools base pants offer more room than GD bases. I have a small frame and I can use both behind the plate. As a consequence, their plate pants are just way too baggy for me.

I wear GD size 36 and Poly Wool size 38. When wearing the GDs, I fully utilize the flex fit (ie: I expand them to do up the button). This way neither my base nor plate pants look baggy. My Poly Wools fit very comfortably in a 38 but the base slacks are a tad baggy. Therefore, I wear them a little higher to solve this problem.

So I got my Honigs plate and base pant today...what is the difference supposed to be between them? They look like they are the same cut. Now I didn't try them opn with my shin guards yet, but they appear that they will not have enough room around that area.

Please check to make sure you didn't get 2 pairs of base pants. There's a noticable difference.:question1:

They are labled PBS1 & PBS2....I will check them out again. I know my GD plate/base are very different.

Try them on with your shin guards on and you should see the difference. If not, call Honig's.

The plate pants should have seat reenforced stitching, and double knees. Plus are much wider from the knees through the seat.

Got to look at them closer last night and there is a difference between them...I see the seat has the reinforced stitching and the width on the legs is different.

I was in a rush when I tried them on...we were leaving and I really just wanted to try them on. I didn't realize the differences...Silly umpire.

I regret not doing it sooner. I'd gladly trade in two of my GDs for another pair of Polys.

I'm not a fan of those goofy looking 3 belts loops on the back of the GD pants.

the 3 belt loop isn't all that bad...It keeps my belt from riding up over the waist of the pants...maybe that is just a problem for people with a little bit bigger bellly. ?

Trying them on at the tailors I realized that there is a difference between GD and Honigs. I can't wait to wear the Honigs...
