I umpired in a distric softball tournamnet this morning, to determine which teams would play in the state tournament. As they were announcing the starting line ups it started to SNOW!!! Weather conditions at the first pitch were 34 degrees with snow flurries. There was no accumulation but it was a first for me in umpiring, snow flurries during the game………

I had to stop a varsity HS game on opening day two or three years ago because of snow. In February. In Alabama. Snowing so steady I couldn't find the ball when it left F1's hand.

A picture from April 7, 1977. The Blue Jays first home opener. This is why we don't play ball outdoors in April in Canada...Yes it is snow

I am happy to say I have never had a game where snow has fallen. But I still wish our season up here in PA was longer. I will have to move south. I want to live in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina sooner than later. My happiest day might be selling my snow blower and giving the shovels away. ^_^

My first college game this spring was March 4th. It was 31 degrees at 10am when we started, and it started snowing around the 5th inning. Got the whole game in, all limbs still intact.

Too many people, I prefer about 50 or so more miles to the North.

Not as many great places to eat up there. I would be OK with the beach areas of southern NC, maybe just above the border.

I prefer 230 mi North East. Corolla, NC. It is pronounced CORE'-allah not like the Toyota car. The most beautiful beaches in the world. Just be aware the entire town has no paved roads and you need a real 4x4 (one with enough balls to trudge through loose sand and make it up hills in loose sand - my Dodge Ram has a tough time)

Wild Spanish mustangs roaming the area. It is absolutely beautiful. http://www.visitcurrituck.com/

I heard they still get snows on occasion? I know that area. I am a beach guy, I enjoy sitting on the beach and reading. I like swimming in the ocean. North Myrtle Beach water temps are generally always warm gulf stream waters. Good fishing for bass inland, good fishing for saltwater variety. Add to that I golf on occasion and this is the best location for me. Nice condo, near beach, baseball all year for some additional revenue. Life could be very good.

Your speaking my language ( and also killing me ), I love fishing in general but surf fishing is my favorite. Grew up in Hampton Roads Va. and I love the beach, it's in my blood. Southeastern, NC is where I spend alot of my vacation time now, just above he border as you say.

Anywhere, Fl.

2 darn humid and thunderstorms almost every day! But there is no Income tax. Hmmmmm?? I worked in Orlando for 60 days in back in 1982. July and August. BRUTAL, Brutal and brutal for a guy who worked climbing poles.

It is not that bad. I work almost 300 games a year. I've had about 10 rai. Outs this year. I had Zero last year.

I could never live in SC, they can't barbecue to save their hearts. Also they still use the auto out for leaving early or missing bases in fed.

Can I live in your garage? I eat alot, listen to loud anger music (FFDP, Six Feet Under, Marilyn Manson), and am very messy. You'll never notice I'm there!
