Since is wear a LS shirt behind the plate I do use gloves when it gets cold...45 or below. Below 40 I'll breakout the jacket but I hate my Honigs, the sleeves are short! I am looking at the Majestic for next season...

I think the sleeves are made short intentionally

That would be 'cause why?

Or at least that's how we ask ???'s here is the South

The Thermabase jackets are really warm. Ump-attire.com is having some made with just black and white stripes, so they'll match other brands.

The Official's Choice is working on a lined, long sleeved jersey, patterned after a +POS model from years ago. It's really, really nice, and a great in between solution. It's a shirt within a shirt, and really warm.

They're not as thick as their first attempts, but not as thin as Majestic/Honig's. Why they don't "get it" is beyond me. They shoot themselves in the foot, time after time, and say they're trying to set the standard.

Honestly, I think they have some sort of communication breakdown between themselves and whatever offshore factory they're using. Plus, they need a baseball guy in there. I mean, pink and light blue ball bags? Really?

I dunno. Us local guys can wear all sorts of colors, and configurations, unless you serve under some tyranical organization. The MLB guys are pretty limited.

Me, I'm gonna wear a long sleeved, black jersey on the bases this weekend, just to p*ss a bunch of y'all off. And I'll look and feel good doin' it, too. Too cool for short sleeves, and too warm for a jacket. And refuse to wear those short sleeved dental office smocks.

Then wear this with the sleeves on:

It's an extremely light and comfortable jacket, yet it keeps you quite warm in a stiff breeze, and it's not too warm at 70-plus degrees. It tucks in nicely if that's your way of doing things, and it rolls up and stows easily in the bag, if you don't want to hang it (horrible picture, by the way). I wear it off the field, too. Makes it worth the money.

+1 agree with Kevin.

This is my favorite jacket for two reasons. No stripes and SUPER light. Weighs less than my shirts.

I bought both the blue and black and I also bought one for each of my two boys when they were on sale in August. Be aware that they are sized UP for the plate. Order a size down and it will fit great.

The stock photo is horrible. But I think the jacket looks great in the field.

EXCELLENT!

Great shots of how cool a jacket it is. And thanks for showing a shot of my man Scioscia.

IS IT ......COULD IT BE ...........................folks, ...hang on ....we've got a Kevin Finnerty sighting!!!! :)

I have this jacket ...and I don't care what anyone thinks, ...it's versatile as all hell ...you can layer underneath it also and it's comfy. And everything Kevin said is correct. Personally ...looks best tucked
